"Hey Wendy..." is the third iteration of the Wendy's Restaurant chain's customer suggestion app. Fans of Wendy's can login, and submit a video describing their suggestions for Wendy's. The app communicates with a custom REST API and records with the Influxis hosted FMS solution.

I served as lead developer for the front end and built out the video submission workflow, Facebook integration and a CMS managed gallery. The app uses a light implementation of the OSMF (Open Source Media Framework) for video submission playback.

HYFN built out a microsite for Nokia's Astound Smartphone. This is a GAIA framework site with custom animation developed in-house. The site features deep-linking, integration with a YouTube Sweepstakes app, and a custom YouTube Player skin.

I was lead developer for the app and the custom YouTube page.

Wendy Threads is an interactive T-shirt builder for the Wendy's Restaurant chain. Wendy Threads launched with a street team promotion in Times Square and hit 100,000 visits and 8,000 T-shirt submissions within 24 hours of launch.

This app features easy to use design tools and a library of 300 creative assets. The number of assets, great performance, and ease of use has prompted over 12,000 T-shirt submissions in the first week.

My responsibility for this app was the front end app architecture, the gallery, social integration and API communication. The gallery uses a blitted rendering technique to smoothly handle 800 gallery tiles without much detriment for performance. This app uses an MVCS architecture facilitated by Robotlegs and Swift Suspenders.

FLOTV is a mobile television service aimed at bringing mobile television to a variety of markets. in 2008, FLOTV launched a campaign in parallel with the 2008 college football season. FLOTV approached JUXT to build a microsite to bring awareness of their service to a new audience.

Using extensive amounts of video and rich animation, we developed a site that allows users to get engaged. Superfans could taunt each other about recent wins or losses, explore the college football schedule, and find out how they can watch their favorite team on the mobile phone or device.

This was my first project while at JUXT Interactive. I developed this site within a week and a half, while still learning the names of all the people I was working with. This site is a testament to my commitment to a deadline. While phases of this project went on for months, the first phase was a challenging and very rewarding success.

A completely self-designed, modeled and fabricated drafting stool made for my own physiological dimensions. The stool was designed for easy movement around the studio, light weight and comfortable use while drawing.

Designed with the playful nature of a bicycle in mind, the stool was envisioned with wheels making the essential "scoot forward" into the drafting desk a fully considered movement. The weight of the movement gets transferred to the wheels making the slide forward silent and effortless.

There were 3 models of this stool before the final execution. The base is aircraft grade aluminum. The seatpan is birch wood with a zebrano wood veneer finish and the wheels are polyurethane/cast aluminum combination. I used this stool for a semester in the studio.

Sprite approached JUXT to build a digital identity around a large Step Dance competition they put together. The iniiative involved competing colleges and fraternities from all over the country for a shot at $1.5M in prizes, the largest of which was a $100,000 grand prize for the national champion. JUXT shot the promotional videos, and lead the promotional campaign with full motion video, motion graphics and a digital identity package.

The website we developed afforded visitors a behind the scenes look at what Step dance is, how large the competition would become, and how they could get involved.

I was responsible for development of components of the site and video performance enhancements.

<description>JUXT interactive and parent company George P Johnson developed a virtual event package for Cisco Systems in 2009. JUXT took on the task of moving a 19,000 person global sales conference from a live event to a virtual one. While there a many aspects of this project, I was involved with some key components. The event hinged on a portal site that would allow users to securely connect, communicate, play games, and interact on a global scale.

I developed the navigation system, a browser for navigating the 6 games on the site, messaging configuration and Flash integration.

Here is an overview of this project produced by JUXT Interactive and George P Johnson.

Qualcomm's FLO TV mobile television service needed a flagship website to show off the myriad features, benefits and depth of it's technology.

flotv.com is the central point of the FLOTV service allowing users to not only activate their device, but browse schedules, preview channels and learn more. The site was highly integrated into a broad content management system, analytics, and data driven features. JUXT along with our parent company George P Johnson developed a highly animated, feature rich experience that scaled along with the service's needs.

I developed all the Flash components on the site. I devised a proactive preloading system for the video heavy components, allowing visitors to get right to viewing content, not staring at a progress bar. Other components included Flash 3D, data driven components and service demonstrations.
